Privacy Policy

Sillyfie is a selfie camera for kids. It collects no data about you or your child. This page explains what the app does with the camera, the microphone and your photos.

Effective date: October 25, 2026

The short version

  • We collect no data. Nothing at all.
  • No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
  • The app does not use the internet. It sends nothing anywhere.
  • Camera pictures are handled on the phone and thrown away.
  • Only the photos you take are kept, in your own Photos app.

What we collect

Nothing. Sillyfie does not collect, store or share any personal information. There are no accounts and no sign up. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party code that collects data. The app makes no network requests, so nothing can leave the phone through the app.

On the App Store this is shown as Data Not Collected.

Camera

The app needs the front camera to show you with funny filters. Each camera picture is handled on the phone, in memory, and thrown away right after it is shown. Nothing is saved unless you tap the button to take a photo.

To place the filters, the app finds faces, hands and the body in the camera picture. This also happens only on the phone, using Apple's built-in tools. It is not used to recognize who someone is, and no face data is stored or sent anywhere.

Photos

When you tap the big button, the photo is saved to the Photos app on your phone. The app only asks for permission to add photos. It can not see, read or change any other photos in your library. Your photos stay on your phone, or in your own iCloud if you use iCloud Photos. We never get them.

Microphone

The microphone is only used by the "Shout!" filter, where your head grows when you are loud. The app only measures how loud it is around the phone. Nothing is recorded, stored or sent. The microphone is only on while that filter is showing. If you say no to the microphone, all other filters still work.

Motion sensors

Some filters, like the snow globe and the bouncing balls, use the phone's motion sensors to feel when you tilt or shake the phone. This is used live and not stored.

Magic portraits

On phones with Apple Intelligence, some filters can turn a photo into a cartoon portrait. This uses Image Playground, which is Apple's feature. It runs on the phone. The portrait is saved to your Photos like any other photo. We get nothing. For how Apple handles Apple Intelligence, see Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Sillyfie is made for kids, and we take that seriously. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

Parents are in control of the permissions. You can turn camera, microphone and photos access on or off at any time in the Settings app, under Sillyfie.

Your rights

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing we can show, change or delete. Your photos are in your own Photos app and you can delete them there. Deleting the app removes everything the app has on the phone.

Apple

Apple runs the App Store and may collect information when you download the app, under Apple's own privacy policy. If you have chosen in iOS settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. This is Apple's feature, it is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.

This website

This website counts visits with Umami, which we run on our own server. It uses no cookies and does not store IP addresses or anything else that can identify you. It only counts things like which pages are visited, which site you came from, browser, type of device and country. Nothing is shared with others. The website loads nothing from other sites. The server may keep normal logs, like IP addresses, for a short time to keep the site running and safe.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If we ever want to collect any data, we will ask first, and this page will say so clearly.
